OT referral will be made re her problems dressing herself and panicking pulling clothes over her head. Waiting list, but worth it.
Nursery nurse from the child dev centre coming to the house to begin therapy on thursday morning, and to address some of the dressing issues. One on one therapy! YES!
School knows about difficulties (had a 30 min talk with SENCO today). Its not all lovely jubbly like the teachers say to your face, which is good - i'd be concerned if she was just blending in at school and only showing her difficulties when out with us, or more appropriately, that her parents were the only ones seeing problems, kwim? I get tired of being told its all in my head - its NOT.
Speech language therapist will get involved shortly. SENCO will see her thursday and discuss.
Specialist support service will be involved shortly as well, referral being done by SENCO right now.
EdPsych she is allocated to is the one attached to the school, we will meet with her on the 22nd November and discuss stuff.
SENCO is trying to skip Early Years Action and Early Years Aciton Plus and go straight to High Focus, before going to a statutory assessment - may be possible to skip, may not be, she'll let us know.
IEP will be drawn up shortly, to try and head off difficulties come next Sept.
Our concerns are being taken seriously within the state school environment, and we've still made a damn good choice for the school she's in..Thank god.

Its really hard work, and I know i'm not perfect. I've had a short temper, i've been angry [in the past] at the screaming, for so long... NOW i get it. Now i can cope.
The diagnosis was the best thing ever happened to us re peace and harmony in this house - i can quit punishing things that i thought i was supposed to (like 'misbehaviour' - i use the term loosely) because the HVs and GPs said she was being manipulative and 'normal'. I can quit expecting her to do things the way a 'normal' child would because now i know, there's something different.
I really appreciate your support. We've fought long and hard for this support, and we may not settle for just this stuff either - there's a local charity, autism west midlands, and the national autistic society who offer help as well, so we'll be looking into that too.
Moving in 2.5 weeks comes first though! zomg. *collapse*
