Funnily enough, that vest in Planet of Fire was the first thing to ever put Five/Turlough in my head. Something about it, maybe when the Doctor was sitting, sipping his tea (and when the Doctor and Turlough were admiring the artifacts), just screamed "OMG the Doctor is gay!" at me. Did no favors for my Five crush, that's for sure.

Hee! I'll bet it was one of those presents your mom gives you that you can't stand, but promised to use someday. He could finally write home: "Dear mum, thanks again for the vest, here's a picture of me wearing it in Lanzarote." In fact, I'd wager that's the reason the Doctor always dresses so oddly. Mum wants pictures of him in his Christmas present. Think pink bunny Ralphie in "A Christmas Story." Okay, gonna stop the weird rambling now.
