Okay, was reading the wiki entry on Kentucky. A place i am so incredibly proud to have grown up in.
Saw this: about my high school. I still have my ring, btw! :D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuPont_Manual_Magnet_High_School
Then saw this, which i heard about a lot. Happened 2 years before I was born. Louisville was still reconstructing when i was born. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Outbreak
And then i saw this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrollton_bus_disaster
I remember crying for those poor kids. I met a survivor at White Mills church camp one year ( i went every year from about 11 til i was 18). http://www.whitemillschristiancamp.com/
She was too ashamed of her gauze-printed skin from the horrible burns to go swimming, but by the end of our week at camp, she was swimming with the rest of us. I think her name was Karen.
Every time i visit America, i fly in to Cincy, and drive down 71, right past that sign. And to think, i spent a lot of my life, as did a gazillion other kids, on the same model school bus, and could've been killed at any time had someone hit is. Scary shit.
Fuckin hell, man. I think i'll go watch some Bottom and forget tornadoes and bus fires. Yikes.
