Ok so it needs MUCHO more fleshing out, but I got the Doc to fix it all. Tegan's wounded, Turlough has a gash across his chest, and the Doc has a temporal concussion, but nothing big bad. All in all they survived swordfighting pretty well. lol.
Lots of things need fleshing out and wrapping up, but i wrote about 3500 words tonight alone - it just started coming to me, i dunno why.
There's things i've left out, what he did with his stasis halo, etc, but i'll sort that out in the next wekek of course. So, thats the problem solved, thank you adrian_middle for your technobabble help, you've been a real trooper.
Now hte planets will nicely separate, loved ones will reunite, Tegan can get some stitches and have her organs put back where they belong, lol, Turlough can get a plaster for his scrape and the Doc can have some neurological therapy of some kind, which i cant wait ti invent.
Earth heads towards uniting in one government because of the crisis, this planet gets a new leadership and not so many scheming pussies in its Council, and thats about it. Oh and the FTL ship returns home with a little note from the Doctor as to where it went, with all of its crew dried and dessicated from exposure to outer space for an indeterminate amount of time :)
Cor. I am IMMENSELY proud of myself. I just need to wrap things up, and begin editing. I've been editing as I go along, so i'm pretty happy with the first 100 pages of it, but the stuff i've just written will need fluffing up, oh yes.
60k, maybe 62k before i'm finished? We'll see.
And the BBC doesnt take unsolicited manuscripts any more :( Damn you Justin Richards. Curses. I SO wanted to see this in paperback on the shelf at Waterstones, i REALLY did. Cracktastic though it may be.
I'm going to watch something, not sure what, for a little while, and then go to bed. I'm pooped. I have a lot of cooking to do tomorrow.
