and this is

what i get to look forward to:

An out of focus pic of my big bellay, 38 weeks. I had 2 weeks more, and i got even bigger, but i can't seem to find pics of it. Probably just as well - the nasty rash started then, and i was scratching all the time.

I remember my first thought when they pulled her out of my belly by Caesarean was 'omgicanBREATHEagain!!' lol

am i insane for wanting to do this again??? ;)

Are you pregnant again or are you thinking about it?

[identity profile] leoniedelt.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 09:52 am (UTC)(link)
I am, 4w 2d, see previous post on my journal.

I didnt get my periods back til 2 years, and even they they weren't right until i weaned. But, i'm glad we waited as long as we did, and i'm glad we got it in once and it made a baby. :)

I am so excited! I don't fancy being that big again, it was horrible, but i can't wait! :D

[identity profile] pmoodie.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 10:45 am (UTC)(link)
Great Scott, you were enormous! LOL

I hope you will be equally enormous again soon, but without the rash this time. :)

[identity profile] leoniedelt.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 10:50 am (UTC)(link)
I was enormous! There was a 10lb 1oz baby inside there...

well, at that point she was about 9 lbs because a further fortnight elapsed before i begged them for mercy ;)

My mom made me a t-shirt that said 'Home of the Whopper' on it... lol

I remember feeling quite crushed by that point - i was huffing and puffing unable to catch my breath and had a tremendously hard pressure at all times in my belly. I think i carried her pretty high, though.

I hope the next one is a boy, and i hope i don't end up that huge. lol.

[identity profile] pmoodie.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Well I hope he's a very tiny baby boy, so that your bump is les gargantuan next time! :)

[identity profile] leoniedelt.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee :D I hope for 8lbs of bouncing baby boy. But i will be thrilled with whatever we get :)

[identity profile] schmusimausi73.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 12:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Holy belly LOL

I thought I was huge, but Benny was not even 8 pounds, so obviously smaller than Pumpkin :)

[identity profile] leoniedelt.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 01:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Holy bellay, batman!

Tee hee :D I was as big as a house and being crushed, that's for sure. She was worth it though!

But i want a VBAC this time. YES. I hope i can get it done.

[identity profile] schmusimausi73.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 01:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Awesome!!! I really hope the VBAC will work :)

Mind you, I am a big chicken and if I should have another baby, I'd go for a C-section again, so I totally admire you for being determined to go for VBAC! You brave woman! :)

I just don't want to be stuck in hospital for 3 days, i want to be home with my family the first night, kwim? So we can all share in it and bond and pumpkin to get to see all of it.

I want to be walking the same night and not have a catheter all up in my hoo-hah and i want to be fit and walking about carrying my baby on the school run in a sling, kwim? I don't want to be stuck indoors in pain.

I'm going to insist they help me get this one out the natural way. That said, if s/he is 10lbs again, there might be a problem... :P

[identity profile] elledwen.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Ack! You're making me broody. I told the husband that someone on my friendlist was pregnant and he asked why I wasn't yet. lol

[identity profile] leoniedelt.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 01:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Awww :)

I have been brooding like a mofo for the last 6 months, it just wasnt the right time, life was too busy throwing us curveballs. :/

The moms at the school gates have babies as well, tiny little babies and i've been grabbing a snuggle when i can and its been driving me mad, so that probably helped make it easier for me to get all knocked up, lol!

When i was preggers the first time, someone handed me a 5lb preemie one time and i just about freaked out, i didn't know what to do with it! I felt the same way about my first, i had no idea what to do with the screaming hungry baby they handed me at the hospital...

NOW i know i can breastfeed successfully and i have more confidence in my body to do the right thing and get the baby out itself and i'm feeling much more positive and in control about the whole experience - its something i chose to do, not something just happening to me, kwim? I felt so out of control the first time, so scared. Now i dont, i'm rearing to go!

*hugs* - ask me anything oyu want to know, i'll be glad to share the nitty gritty on how miserable it gets with a watermelon inside your abdomen, lol :D

If you *want* to get pregnant, i highly recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Taking-Charge-Your-Fertility-Reproductive/dp/0091887585/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1200230840&sr=8-1) by Toni Weschler.

That's how i conceived the first one in 1 month trying - taking my temp every morning, and checking cervical mucus, which at the time didn't actually come out like it does now (everything's all stretched out, lol)...

This time i didnt need to temp, my cervical mucus was everywhere, lol. i knew when i was going to ovulate by noting days and signs for the month or two beforehand, so we just timed it on the predicted day in advance, and boom, here we are!

[identity profile] elledwen.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. I may just get that book. I do want to get pregnant only, I don't think right now is the time-I just applied to Uni.

[identity profile] leoniedelt.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 01:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, i totally understand timing issues - that's what has kept us waiting since late July 2005, because we were planning to get it on then for number two, and then my life fell apart with a family tragedy and the mono/glandular fever and then everything else that brings us up to the present date.

That said i think if i had tried any sooner than August this year, i'd just have been disappointed, because i wasnt ovulating properly until pumpkin weaned, and i didnt want to rush her, she needed it.

*hugs* - you might try the library, they may have a copy of it rather than having to buy it.

I'm suddenly reminded of photos of my mother's pregnancy. She was a tiny Japanese woman carrying the giant baby of her six-foot-four-inch-tall Scandanavian husband. :)

[identity profile] leoniedelt.livejournal.com 2008-01-13 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww! My husband is 5'8 (quite short) and only 150 lbs - not a big guy. I'm 5'1, and wide as a barn...

Don't know where these big babies come from, frankly!

[identity profile] gorkonslady.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow! Don´t worry! I looked like you, too, when i was pregnant. But i hadn´t any stripes. Thank God! :D

[identity profile] leoniedelt.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I looked like someone attacked my belly with a leaf rake! That's okay, its all stretched out now, it can hardly stretch any further! :D

[identity profile] gorkonslady.livejournal.com 2008-01-15 08:54 am (UTC)(link)
He he! So you´ll treat it as an advantage for your next baby? *lol* :D
