There's a wonderful article here in Wired magazine about autism. Its a PDF link, warning, danger Will Robinson.

Instead of the usual bullshittery scaremongering over the so called 'autism epidemic' and the need to not miss the window of opportunity to squander your money on bogus chelation therapies and Ritalin/Risperdal, why not just accept autistic children and adults as different?  They're NOT all "trapped in their own world" - really.
