Renaissance of the Daleks / Big Finish

Renaissance of the Daleks from Big Finish was pretty good.

Even had the Doc being electrocuted by a toy Dalek as he attempted to pull it off the console. Very brave of him. Sounded fun too :D

Also very in character, i thought. I perhaps need to alter some dialogue of Tempus Fugit to be a little more 'Doctory'... Lots of 'Hmm's and stuttering as he pulls everything out of his arse, makes it up as he goes along, and yet manages to save the universe in time for tea.

I recommend it. Not as good as Spare Parts or Circular Time, or even Sympathy for the Devil, but very good indeed. Worth a listen at least once, anyway.

I *live* for Fith Doctor hmm's! Soooo sexy. Been meaning to pick this one up, but the OG forum thread on it had an awful lot of negative feedback, so I held off. But Doctor-cution by toy Dalek AND lovable Five-stuttering? I may have to reconsider... :)

i'd recommend ignoring the reviews on OutpostGallifrey.

they're mostly grumpy/negative/overly critical/etc.

well, i dont pay much attention to that lot anyway. I love the Hmms too and got it anyway because its my goal to hear them all, even if they have the dreaded Perimem entity in them...

Its worth grinning and bearing through a lot of useless extra-companion talking, a lot of fake/annoying American accents, and a lot of exposition to hear the Doctor electrocuted by a toy Dalek on the console, and saying Hmm a lot. And pulling the entire solution completely out of his arse, which proves that i may need to rework TF a little - he works best when he's improvising.
