Can anyone say black hole? Christ almighty. Recycling plots doesnt do it for me.

Graeme Harper's direction is flawless, though, I'll give them that. Graeme is the god of old-skool directing, yes.

The pacing was screwed - moments of pity for the dead husband, and yet 5 seconds into it, we're chucked into a situation, frantic running round yet time for reflection on families in the escape pod, etc... People trust the Doctor for no reason, he's just there and they trust him. We dont know the crew or their names, their motivations, yet suddenly one of them had a glowy eyes virus - what? What happened to locking him up or mistrusting him at first?. I just dont understand why they want us to swallow this shit, i really dont.

I WANT OLD WHO BACK, DAMNIT!

My N95 does it for me, though, holy wow! I can plug it into the tv, and the video quality is equal to the Sony video camera! The picture quality will never rival better half's canon 20D, but still...

(i stayed up waaaaaaaay too late putting my shit back on it, playing with it, etc, and got to waaaaaay too early this morning to do more. omg)

Bought a hard plastic case for it  - snaps onto the front and back separately, and also bought 2g sandisk card for it (borrowing better half's 1g card til Tuesday) - Now i'm trying to get a decent ogg player.

Listed my N80 on ebay for £125. Lets hope it shifts soon.

l.o.l. First thing I thought of was Impossible Planet. The pacing was too fast for me to even know what I was thinking during the show... but if they'd turned it into a two-parter it would have been even more like Impossible Planet than it already was. I swear, they're just redoing the 9th and 10th doctor's episodes with Rose. It's sad to think they've probably already run out of ideas.

God i enjoyed hearing/watching Tennant scream, though, yes. woof.

I'll enjoy it next week too, yes. Bless ya Cornell.

Other than that, utter bollocks that was. We were dumped into a crisis, people trusted the Doctor for no good reason, and it was so rushed i felt like I needed Ritalin to keep up with it.

sigh.

People are always trusting the Doctor for no reason. I know I don't care how commanding or in control someone seems, if they show up out of nowhere and start trying to take over in a time of crisis, I'd be hitting them or something.

*SMACK* WHAT THE HELL, WHO ARE YOU? *SMACK* WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO ORDER ME AROUND? *SMACK* YOU BETTER BACK OFF. *SMACK*

It all boils down to that same thing i've been bitching about how for 2 seasons - BACKSTORY. Where's the back story? Why should i care about those people? Why do i give a flying shit if they fall into the sun?

*head desk* repeatedly til my forehead bleeds

I was more bothered by the stupid science in this one than anything else. The ship hangs *one second* away from falling into a *sun* and they're able to use *reserve fuel* to blast away to safety? WTF?? Why didn't the bodies immediately incinerate when they blew out the airlock? If this solar creature can possess crew members, why not simply get them to jettison the solar material the crew stole to begin with? *shakes head sadly at Chris Chibnall*

But yes, the Tennant screaming and crying was a very nice addition, I agree!
