OMG. Utopia.

Now THAT was Who.

The hand explained, Jack explained, even the Rose touches weren't overdone, the Chameleon Arch explained in a bigger arch of plot than just Human Nature... WOW.

Did anyone else shout YES at the television when Jacobi revealed he was in fact the Master? Holy wowzers.

Ok so it was just a vehicle to intro the Master, and the 'aliens' weren't much, but wow.

That, plus the finale, will go down in Who history as my favourites, ever, i suspect, and this third season of Who has been the most remarkable since it came back on air.

Christ, i feel post-coital after that...

I started to twig from when he first looked unwell and heard the echoes. Then I started croaking. Then I screamed. A lot.

I didnt get it, at first. You see, the line about the future people with the sharp teeth being what humans turn into, and me thinking Jacobi was a human, like everyone else, i suspected he was hearing the funky people with pointy teeth and cool piercings in his head, becoming one of them.

I blame the drugs, yes. I'd have gotten it much sooner, otherwise.

The annoying bit of me that loves Shada to pieces wanted there to be more than two Time Lords left. For a whole... three minutes, I think, I was pleading for Jacobi to be Chronotis. But that's far too obscure for the new fans, I guess, even if it would totally rock. Chronotis is still in Cambridge, then...
I think I got confused by the fact that Jacobi is not Simm, and I didn't realise that the Master would find some other (other other other) way around 'no regenerations left'.

Damnit, I need an appropriate icon.

I was also hoping he was Chronotis as well for a while there even if only by name, but then Dirk Gently books would have no canon either ;)

Probably someone introduced the chameleon arch to Gallifreyan society, or it was found on some obscure planet, and the Master got one, somehow. And cured himself of being Eric Roberts / having the Cheetah disease?

The Master's in 'Survival'? Did not know that. Really need to see more Seven. But I'm watching Six at the mo... *is torn*

And it would be the curing of Roberts, cos Eight is canon :o) Or he counts. Whichever is the preferred phraseology these days :oD

I also need to get hold of the Dirk Gently books. Yes.

Yup, the Master has Cheetah disease :)

But lots of people dont take Eric Roberts as canon, even if Eight's mug was in the Journal of Impossible Things...

Good point. I'm listening to McGann read the movie novelisation (but I've not really reached the Master yet, not as more than a blob, anyway) so I'll see if book!movie!Master is better. He has to be, really. Even Chang Lee has a family history in this thing.

But even if Roberts was a rather crap (and slightly disturbing) Master, the characterisation was consistent with his backstory. He was getting a bit crazy back at Ainley, cos he spent a while rotting on Terserus, and then there was more rotting in a statue (and, personal fanon here, he might've had bits of Tremas in his head after that), then maybe the Cheetah thing added to the unbalanced, and at some point after Survival he was zapped by Daleks (although Rassilon knows why) and then got to slime around for a bit as a snake... I say he's justifiably crazy by the time he's Roberts :o) Wow, he really is fucked up...

4) Peter was my First, tho I was very young. Chris just OWNED me from moment one. Now I'm a totaly chris (and Peter fangirl). I like tho others, sept Colin, David is growing on me now he's calmed down, but for me, he doesn't have the sex factor ccles does.
Eddie is my GOD. I love him so much, he really is the sweetest guy.

There are no words to aptly convey the sheer "ded-of-squeeness" that is my brain right now. Totally, totally did not see that coming. At all. I too believed Yana's brain noises were him hearing "the call of the futurekind" and starting to transform, and I've no drugs in my system to blame. Sheer awesomeness, all of it! *Must go and sit in dazed stupor*

I should have twigged it when he reacted funny to seeing the TARDIS arrive. Should have put two and two together, but the writer threw me off the scent by tossing that little tidbit out there about the futurekind and humans turning into them, so i forgot how funny Yana acted when the TARDIS was first detected...

I blame the drugs. When in doubt, blame the drugs. Why not :)

I made a good macro, and posted at ihasatardis but i dont think many people saw it. I will post it in my own journal, and my flist can share the lolz.
