I missed about ten minutes ten minutes in. I left when Martha was talking to her kidnappers, i rejoined when they were singing songs of cat praise.

I had to tuck in the pumpkin.

I have no idea what happened in the meantime, but the solution was too easy, he did nothing to stop/dispose of the Macra, just left them down there, I guess without the car fumes they'll starve, but still. And the Face of Boe's words were too easily predicted / spoiled everywhere.

I think he'd deluding himself though. He isnt alone. He can't be.

I loved the descriptions of Gallifrey - how true were those to Lungbarrow/canon, I wonder? Two suns? Hmm.

It was ok. It needed more meat, though, i thought. Now to head over to OG and see what everyone else thought.
Mood:: 'contemplative' contemplative

Yeah, i thought she was going to hit him with the chair. lol.

But it just didnt feel wonderful or special to me, sounded like the same old recycled Rose crap, and recycled Gallifrey stuff too, with a lame [lack of] plot and the namechecking of the Macra, which were barely even there - typical RTD crap.

Maybe it be better will on rewatch, assuming i dont miss ten minutes of it this time.

Thin story, kind of uneven, but I dunno, I kind of liked it. I think. Lots of subtext and themes going on. And "Old Rugged Cross" almost made me weep. Very strange episode.
