Cripes. Ok everyone remembers the Coke ads in the 80s.

But did everyone know that Max came from Channel Four, here in the UK, first, in a special called Twenty Minutes into the Future? Same Matt Frewer, same Amanda Pays,  same Blank Reg / W Morgan Sheppard, completely different everyone else. Wow.

Frewer was sexy with his bleached blond hair in the UK special, yes. Even with his long horse-face and his superbly square jaw.

And the US tv show wasnt half bad either. I like the dystopian cyberpunk ideas, the credit sticks instead of money and allegedly very advanced technology, yet retro typewriter keyboards and telephones, etc. Very cool themes to explore on tv, even if graced by the bad hairdos and dress sense of the 80s.

Glad i watched, yes.
