Wow. This is a really excellent site! If I were in the U.K. and had money, I'd donate! (Scored 12 out of 12 on their quiz, I might add, lol!)

And maybe you've already read this, but in case not, here's a link to "What Every Autistic Child Wishes You Knew," an article that the author has expanded into a book called "Ten Things Every Autistic Child Wishes You Knew." Quite succinct and very informative, I thought:

The interviews, i found them to be reassuring. Some of those people were profoundly autistic, and some weren't. It was reassuring to know that you can grow up and lead a relatively normal life with this, and also that you can speak, make your wishes heard, have a voice, etc.

Very reassuring to a parent. And to a wife of one about to be officially diagnosed in a few weeks, kwim?

We have a *library* of books on autism, but i really think we'll add that one to the collection come pay day. Yes.

*hugs* to you :)

[hugs back]

There's so much diversity in autism spectrum disorders. It's incredible. I was moved by the interviews with the three brothers who all have autism. Can you imagine being that mom?!
