I think i need an icon. I may well make one.

I'm also thinking of buying a teach-yourself-latin book. Yes. Recommendations, anyone?

Oooh, I have one. It's one of those Wheelock's Latin books. I haven't really gotten around to really go into it, but I started it and it seemed like a good 'teach yourself' book.

I can tell you that "Annulus infirmissimus es, Vale" is "You are the weakest link, Goodbye" and "Virorum solus amator in vico sum" is "I'm the only gay in the village". Not terribly handy for day-to-day use... ;)

Illegitimi non carborundum (spelling?) is 'Dont let the bastards get you down.'

Hee :) But i want to know what Confutatis maledictis flammus acribus adictes, etc. MEANS. I wanna read it like i read english and [mostly] spanish.

You *really* want to read "confound the wicked and assign them to fierce flames"? XD

Dodgy history in 'Amadeus', but a terrific film and one of my favourites. Probably because Mozart is my favourite classical composer of all time. :)

Yes, i do. And quantus tremor est futurus, quando judex est venturus cuncta stricte discussurus and all that. :D

(i've been learning the words. Not what they mean but how they sound and how they say J as Y, etc.)

Oh i know, but accurate history doesnt always equal good drama or sell movies, does it ? :)

I LOVE Mozart. He is my fav classical composer of all time, yes.
