I need music help. Music people, pay attention:

I found a song i like, through a fanvid. Filter - Take a Picture.

If i like that song, what else might i like, that's similar? How can i find out?

I desperately need more music for my nokia than just the Beatles and the Monkees and Queen. Yes. Getting VERY bored.

Last FM is another good site. Enter a fave artist and you can see what other people who also like that artist listen to/recommend, and it lets you play sample tracks too.

Hope the sucky migraine-ness doesn't drag on any longer!

I feel so old and out of touch sometimes, when i admit my favourite bands are bands from the 60s. But then again, they always have been, even when i was a kid.

nah,no need to feel out of touch. even though i'm in my mid 20's, my favorite band in the Beatles. i actually own a Beatles record. not a cd or casette,but a record. XD

I own about ten of their albums (real live vinyl from the 60s), including a White Album with a serial number.

And probably 40+ 45s. One of which is worth a LOT of money because its labels are on backwards.

My record collection is sadly at home at mom's in the states. Long ways away from me :(

I downloaded all the albums ;)

I love the Beatles, the Monkees, lots of other 60s bands and songs. I love the 70s too.

I draw the line at most of the 80s, though i like the Police, Queen, and REM. Madonna makes me want to hurl.

New stuff i like: Dido and Coldplay and Travis, and they're not exactly recent...

I just realized this, but Coldplay did take a lot from Keane and not the other way around like so many people like to think. They're both great though(I'm a little bias lol, I saw Keane live and was about a foot away from Tom Chaplin *happysigh*)

You do have great taste in music though! I myself am a fan of 60's and 70's stuff like The Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and T.Rex among others. I share the same problem with some of the others here being in my 20's and not having friends that appreciate the classics. When will they learn?

(oh btw, any good references you want me to look at for the Warner pic? I'm thinking about starting it over my vacation ;) )

I listed to "oldies" when my friends were listening to New Kids on the Block, and Pearl Jam... I did just date myself, but that's okay, my birthday's in my profile ;)

Oh god New Kids.... I couldn't stand them! It only made me want to hide out with my Led Zeppelin albums even more and count the days it would take for them to fade into obscurity!

Do you have any screencaps from Time After Time by any chance? If you do I can go ahead and print them out before school closes for vacation :D
