STOP RAINING...

I shall surely go mad!

This is the coldest wettest June on record. This time last year we were baking in 30C temps. This year we've barely broken 20C and its pissing rain all the damn time!

Pumpkin is excited about her new raincoat?!

I want SOME sun back, thanks very much!

(I know, never happy are we. Damn Brits, always moaning about the weather)

If we didn't have the weather, we'd be standing very quietly at bus stops. We bond over the unpredictability of our climate. :)

I feel your pain. I put on a linen jacket this morning - then glanced at the thermometer. 48 degrees. Lovely.

And it rained all weekend. Again. Sunny right now, though.

I'm from the southern USA, i'm just not built for this. Honestly.

Mom says its regularly 90 - 95F there right now. Sometimes i get really homesick when it rains like this.

the rain scares me a little.

and it's not just the wettest June, it the wettest month on record, although maybe that's just my local area. Here's hoping, otherwise that's mightily depressing.

And the whole hot weather-ness? that would have been a really really bad thing this year. I don't think I could have coped with another bustin' hot year, no no.

and who isn't excited about a new raincoat? :P

but some sun soon please, Mr weather controller person. Thanks.

Well, i wasn't fond of the 30C this time last year, but i'm not fond of weeks and weeks of pissing rain either.

I hate swimming to school and playgroup!

Middle ground, pleeeeeeeeasssssse!

Didn't I just see a headline somewhere about flooding in northern Britain? Sympathies to you for your weather woes. I live in Pennsylvania, and not only do we get baking hot temps, we also end up dripping with humidity most of the summer. It's like a tropical rain forest, honest. June has been pretty dry this year, though, which means I've been hauling water buckets to keep my mom's plants alive. Today's been cloudy and sticky as glue. Nature sux.

Yeah, don't you wish we could all spread the weather around evenly? We'd gladly take some of your rain (I'm in New York State, right next door to Pennsylvania) if you'd take some of our 90-degree heat! (That's one thing I wouldn't miss one bit if I moved over there. In fact, I was just noting earlier today with envy that the high temperature in Cornwall was 60 degrees F.)

I also read about the man who drowned; he got trapped trying to clear out a flooded drain. Terrible.

I think its 3 dead now, in Sheffield. Shropshire isnt faring too well either.

I walked to an out of hours GP clinic in water running down the street like a flood. It was unbelievable.

Dry so far today though. Fingers crossed!

Flooding *everywhere* - the water table's naturally high anyways, and then with all the rain we've had, its been unbelievable. Feels like March or November. Sure wouldn't think Its June/July.

(I know, never happy are we. Damn Brits, always moaning about the weather) I think we've bloody well got a right to moan at the moment, 2+ weeks or however the hell long it's been practically constant rain, and flooding loadsa places and an emergency situation in Hull & stuff.

Although, thankfully(especially after yesterday), it's not raining here atm.

Well, i meant by reputation British people always whining about incessantly rainy weather, (me included there) but yes, of late justifiably so.

Though today, no rain except a tough of sprinkles this morning. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

True, just...urgh. I never want to see rain again after that leeds-hull traffic jam it caused yesterday. But it's meant to rain at the weekend =[ Maybe I'll just stay in bed and hide under the covers all weekend.
But there is sun, SUN! at the moment. And ZOMG SOME BLUE SKY YAY *calms*

I sincerely hope there's no more rain at the weekend, i have plans for Sunday. I'm supposed to be leading donkeys around. Sigh.
