we have just adopted

2 black and white moggie kittens, 6 weeks old.

OMG. Pumpkin is so excited, better half is thrilled at having cats again.

We'll be home most of the summer apart from the odd trip out or appointment somewhere, so why not. And they were free to a good home.

The boy is more white than black, and the girl is more black than white. We need names, yes.

If i had my way, it'd be Tegan and Turlough, but alas... ;)

Family friendly suggestions, anyone? AND DONT SAY ROSE.

Mouseguts and wild mice in the house = diseases. Let alone what cats pick up from eating mice, like worms.

I didnt want my vulnerable newborn baby exposed to something nasty because the cat wouldn't leave mice alone.

My loyalty lies with my baby, part of my body, that I nurtured and grew for 9 months inside me, and adulthood and common sense dictated to rehome the cat with someone who would love her and wasn't bound by having children to protect from mouseguttery and subsequent disease risks. We made sure the cat went to a good home, don't worry.

Anyway, that was early 2004 when we rehomed Snowdrop, and we've been missing cats for a long time, but pumpkin wasn't old enough to understand how to pet, how to be geltle, why not to smack cats, etc, so we waited til now.

Motherhood is the most powerful thing ever. I'd give my life for pumpkin's. You'll see when you get there :D
