I'm it!
1. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
2. Tag seven people to do the same.
3. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag whoever wants to do it.
1. I'm a leftie. I think lefthandedness is the grooviest thing *ever*. I'm always watching which hands people use, especially on tv, and being a leftie makes me want the males even more ;)
2. I love horses. I grew up with an American Saddlebred and two Shetland ponies, all three of whom i miss very much. I broke the Saddlebred myself; he was wild when we were given him.
3. I miss home. I think that's pretty standard, really, when you like 4000 miles away from your family and home.
4. I have dyscalculia - i don't deal well with numbers. Fancy that, since I'm the accountant of the family (and we're FINALLY digging out of debt for the first time in our marriage)
5. Since seven is the theme of this memery, i thought it coinkydinky to mention I've been married for seven years...
6. I still have all of my My Little Ponies from when i was a kid. All 30+ of them. And the entire Strawberry Shortcake collection, with all their clothes, pets, etc in that big Strawberry carrying case.
6.5 I also have a shedload of 45s, one of which is worth a lot of money as its an original Beatles 45, but the labels are swapped round backwards. And I have the White Album with a serial number on it! I also own a number of really groovy LPs. Wish the lot was here with me - its all at mom's, in storage.
7. I havent grown in height since I was 12. I had some bad poison ivy, from the waist down to my toes and everywhere in between! I ended up getting 2 separate steroid injections to stop it. The doctor mentioned it *might* stunt my growth, and indeed it did. My mom is 5'8, my dad is 6' and my brother 6'1. I'm 5'1, short wee me.
I just wish my arse would stop growing.

Dyscalculia = not dealing well with numbers? I definitely have that--I didn't know it had a name! (Kinda like Restless Legs Syndrome!) I have an uncanny ability to phone numbers, birthdays, appointments, etc. (purely visually, almost like a photographic memory), but somehow my brain can't actually process the numbers, as in balancing my checkbook, remembering to do things, keeping track of time, etc.!) Is that the same thing, or do I have something different?
I have one My Little Pony (a unicorn) from way back; my nieces found out the other day and want me to bring it over to play with their Little Ponies, who have castles and videos and everything!

Dyscalculia = reversing numbers when reading them aloud or copying them. I too have an uncanny memory for phone numbers, bu can't copy one out of the book without screwing it up, for example. I have to commit it to memory first, and then write it down from memory else i reverse digits.
And i'm the family accountant! lol

So dyscalculia is more like dyslexia with numbers then?

So how does that that shock your husband, if the tax is already included? (I'm slow; it's those numbers again. Just thinking of them makes me glaze over! Besides, I'm back on Ativan, and I'm way overdue on my bedtime dose! Crampy and twitchy too ... good thing I'm seeing the doctor again tomorrow--I hope (if he's willing to increase me up to 4 mg. instead of 3, that is--the nurse I saw last week didn't believe me when I said 1 mg. Klonopin = 2 mg. Ativan, so the most he would give me was 3 mg. Ativan). *twitch* *cramp* Ouch. :-(
