We went for 15 minutes to see the prospective new school today.
We stayed for over 2 hours - pumpkin LOVED it, and though there will be an adjustment period, she just jumped right in.
She starts state nursery there monday. So much better than the private one she's in now!
We may or may not get a reception place there as we don't live in its catchment area, but just outside it, a 30 min walk on foot for me, more than that for pumpkin. Fingers crossed we do.
New school colours are sky blue and navy, not red and navy! We have an entire uniform to change out! ARGH.

The rest of the uniform, the grey skirts. trousers, pinafores and tights, can be recycled.
A friend, who is emigrating to Canada in a fortnight, is giving her son's jumpers to us when they go. We will miss them desperately, but we're duly grateful for not having to buy jumpers!
So, that's sorted for £2. Not bad really...
Pumpkin ♥ the new school. The next few weeks will be full of unrest for her, 2 weeks at a new school, then off for a week for half term, and her good friend Jack will be disappearing to another continent for eternity, and its quite sad. She has grown up with Jack, and she will be very sad to lose him. But that's the way of the world, isnt it?
Thanks, sweety :D I wil be taking pics in new uniform on first day, and etc. Oh yes :D
