The church we got married in over 7 years ago, was today gutted in a fire :(

Click here to see the shocking footage - methinks arson, starting at 6am and needing 15 fire trucks?!

Very sad. pumpkin and I will go up there on sunday morning for the open air service, to show our support.

That's terrible. Especially if it was arson. Here's hoping the church is able to rebuild quickly!

The fireman i spoke to at lunchtime were reasonably sure it was arson :(

I hope they can recover too - the stained glass windows were priceless :(

Thanks re the pics. Obv i'm heavier than there by about 20lbs, these days, and i've got the haircut of a boy. And better half is about 20lbs heavier too, he was tres skinny then (140, now he's 160 and looking a lot less emaciated)... But we're still married after 7 years, god knows what we were thinking! ;)

I are bummed. There are photos of me under the wedding section of that first link, by the stained glass window. I'm not C of E, but i did get married in a C of E church. (i'm a baptist)

We'll go up on Sunday and show support. Yes.

Omgawd! That's horrible to see such a beautiful church like that get damaged. Especially if it is arson. People can be so stupid. :(

It was definitely arson. No reason for such a beautiful church to wind up gutted in the wee hours of the morning when no one's even in it... :(
