cotton socks, my dear.  *mwah*
You're the *best* thing to ever happen to Big Finish. :)

The Mind's Eye, BF102.
*guh* - the VISUALS! omg. Really hit a fangirl's squee button, you know?

Only 3 parts, and I haven't gotten round to the Viyrans yet. Well paced, well acted. Parts that would've been cliched weren't, and the whole thing was so utterly believable, i was lost inside it. Without a doubt, the closest thing to Classic Who i've heard in yonks.

Killer plants on an alien planet, etc, been done before. Killer animals that hunt at night, terrorising an outpost, been done before. But never like this; totally unexpected plotline and twists, the third part was quite emotional, and neither Peri nor Erimem were annoying.

Nick Briggs, i say again, you're the best thing to happen to Big Finish. I will rest soundly knowing that Fivey's destiny is safe in your hands. Even if he gets a bit abused on the way ;)

(one day i'll get into the other Doctors, probably starting with Eight, and definitely pump my dear F-list for recs. For now, I'm a Five girl, always have been and always will be)

I've been avoiding the 3/1 stories cos I hear they're connected and I can't get hold of the first one - do you know if it's just the one-parters that are connected? Can I go ahead with listening to the 3-parters without worrying that I'm missing plot somewhere?

And when you get to Eight, I'll be here with recs :oD

I think just the short bits are connected - certainly Minds Eye stood on its own well enough...

Ah but do you know what pushed my squee button? :)

That's good, then, I can listen to those without worrying.

Do I want to know? Will it spoil the story? :o) I probably do want to know, actually. I get spoiled enough that I'm quite used to it :o) Edit: Actually, given that "squee" followed "visuals" in your post, should I be able to guess? :oP

Followed by my icon, put 1 and 1 and 1 together, and get 3, yeah. :)

I just got this, Son of the Dragon and Three's A Crowd through the post this morning! :)

You won't be disappointed, though I have yet to get through Three's a Crowd - I have all of the Five audios but i'm a bit slow on the uptake, based on whatever's happening in my life at the time... :)

Mind's Eye really pushed a squee button or two, and Son was just a bloody brilliant story.

Big Finish is truly what keeps fans like me, who gets a bit bored of SHIP in my WHO: Astrid, Saint bloody Rose, Martha, and now i hear Donna as well, *gag*...

I like my Who to be Classic, and I like getting fresh bits of it every month, even if my brain has to fill in the bits I can't see... :)

edited to clarify which audios I have...

Gosh, I am soooo behind on the BFAs! I haven't heard any of the 3/1 format ones, and PeriMem just haven't impressed me much (although Kingmaker was totally made of win).

As for other doctor audios, Big Finish has done WONDERS for the Sixth Doctor. Some really fantastic stuff. Go Briggs and Co., indeed!

I've been a bit behind, too, hence the marathon catching-up i've done here :) Loving it, oh yes. I've never cared much for the Perimem entity either, but that said, in these last few they've been less annoying and downright well-utilised!
