David Warner wrote me back. BY HAND.
Oh my god. I'm going to explode with squee! !!! <-- excessive punctuation needed!
I blacked out my name for the protection of the innocent, however, omg. HE WROTE BACK. Not some automatically generated printed off crap, but, HE WROTE BACK. Oh my god.

My god, he's humble and wonderful and human on top of it all.
*is stunned beyond belief right now*

But ... wow!!! I would imagine he doesn't get much in the post from fans these days, so you probably really made him happy. :)
And just ... WOW!!! How astonishing is this???!!!

I think it shows just how classy the man is. Stratford was almost sold out when i went to buy tix for it in APRIL for an AUGUST performance, so he must be pretty damn popular, so i am even more amazed he wrote me back. Really just gobsmacked and stunned.
Peter Davison with his fifteen kids and grandkids / family situation that squicks me out anyway, and his lack of patience when it comes to a simple photo with a fan, is off my list entirely - why idolise his arrogance when i can be a fan of someone so deserving as David?
Ok i admit it, i'm wiping tears again. I cant help it, this was just in time for my birthday, and just amazing to get. Posted on the 1st of May, yesterday, postmarked from South London (probably his home, as the address of the agent is in West London). No return address of course, but man oh man.
WOOO HOOO!!!
Re: WOOO HOOO!!!
I'm so touched i cant quit crying :)
After all the bad things in my life of late, I get a handwritten letter from David Warner - the rest of the world can fuck off, i'm on cloud nine :)

You often hear that fan letters to celeb-folk just get a bog-standard agent thank you in response so that's really nice of him to hand write a personal letter! Bless him!
And keep taking deep, calming breaths or you might fall over... ;)

I can read it, no problem!

As for the hand-writing, I used to be a secretary for two Englishmen (one from London and the other from Birmingham), so the hand-writing, though typically messy, was not too much of a burden.
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wrote it first, i said that a lot of the movies he was in were worthy of the bin, but that they sat on my shelf because he was in them, elevating them beyond the bin with his incredible talents, or some such gushing sentence to that effect...
My husband's a local and his handwriting is so illegible I have to ask him to translate sometimes. I read David's just fine, thought it was fantastic. My own handwriting is pretty bad these days so no problem.
When i see him, I might just kiss him!

The last paragraph says "I hope you enjoy the plays, as you say Birmingham isnt too far. All The Best, Thanks Again, David Warner."
Davison has no idea what a fangirl he crushed at the Invasion, no, he doesnt. I was a massive massive fangirl, too, for a long long time. Ah well. His loss, David's gain, and David seems to genuinely appreciate it!
