Maddie didnt sleep. (i read she was HFA, explains the sleeping problem!)
Maddie got into Daddy's pillbox and ate all his sleepers. Died.
Mommy or Daddy returns and finds her dead. One tells the other, they both know.
Panic, knowing they are finished as doctors with their kid dead of that many pills, and guilty of serious child neglect.
Invent abduction theory. Mates possibly told as alibis.
They hide the body somewhere, alibis covering for whoever is hiding it.
25+ days later, friends move it permanently while they were jet-setting around Europe seeing the Pope.
Stupid, and i can understand panicking, knowing what they did was wrong (leaving her alone to get into daddy's, or mommy's pills)... but lying to the world?
Sigh. this whole damn thing really has me upset. As someone on long term medication myself, i have to be extra neurotic in the day that pumpkin doesnt find my stash or the ones I have to carry with me to take twice in the day. You just put yourself in their shoes, and then instinctively put the stash of goodies a little higher out of reach, kwim?
Then again, i've never even napped while pumpkin was in my care - i've been fully aware of her movements day in day out. Oh, i get caught out by the odd surprise now and then, while i'm doing dishes or some cleaning, she draws on the tv in crayon or something kid-like... but she has never found or eaten one of my pills.

The (Portuguese) media keep going on about a syringe and sedation, which confuses me. Are they talking about a proper syringe and proper sedatives, or one of those droplet plastic syringes for children and a child painkiller?

Lots of people suspected them in May. I didnt really think about it, but having a daughter the same age, it's on my mind. A LOT.
If all 3 children were sedated, why would the McCann's think they'd get up and escape or hurt themselves or whatever? That way they could party for hours, or bury Madeleine, without having to worry about what the twins were getting up to.
Selfish thoughtless and heavily intoxicated, if the tapas restaurant bill reporting 14 bottles of wine between 7 adults is true...
Neither of them acts like they're grieving the absence / abduction of their child, they act like they're on a tour of Europe, getting rich and famous without actually accomplishing anything. Kate in particular acts like she's guilty, and Gerry dodges questions and acts like he's lying. I've seen all the interviews. They're GUILTY.
My mommy radar wouldn't let my kid out of my sight, but if my carelessness had caused her death, i'd be the first one out in front of a bus to punish myself - i'd never be able to live with it, let alone meet the fucking Pope and shake his hand.
They're guilty, and its going to come out. Whether they do time is about the PJ's evidence gathering skills vs Pinochet's lawyer, which doesn't look good. But they're GUILTY. Even if they get off, they'll lose the twins, they'll never hold down jobs, their marriage will bust up and they are ruined for life.
And they deserve that and more if they had a hand in killing Maddie. As is, it just looks like they tried to hide their poor parenting skills by disposing of her body.
Poor precious thing trusted them to look out for her. It really makes me want to cry.

They're not rich; that money is for Madeleine's fund - and, by the looks of it, they have enough money anyway. Kate's a Catholic (devout or not), so flying off to visit the Pope isn't exactly suspicious. I'm not exactly devout, but if something like that had happened to me, just about the only place I'd be able to get any hope would be from the Church or the Pope.
I think the Portuguese police screwed it up from the beginning - not because they're inept, but because they've never had toi deal with anything like this before and so don't know where to start. Why did they make Murat a suspect? Because he lives nearby, speaks English and was trying to hel? The parents are now the only people connected with the hotel that they can trace - anyone who kidnapped/killed Maddy would have fled long ago - and so the police have made them suspects because they have absolutely no other leads.

It was only when they realised Murat was innocent, that they had to look elsewhere.
The MCcanns have been under surveilance for over a month now. Emails, phone calls, video. They're guilty. The PJ know it, too.
One of their friends got rid of the body when they were gone to the Vatican. Why else hire a car 1 day before you're leaving the country??? What use is it, except to enable your mates to transport the body while you [and all the media's cameras] are looking Vatican-wards?

I'd be on my hands and knees searching the countryside for my kid, with tear laden swollen fat eyelids, no makeup, no earrings except the ones i sleep in, no fancy hairdos. Probably no shower, come to think of it.

Okay, so if they're obviously guilty, why have the police waited 133 days to arrest them? As far as I can see, it's "oh no, the parents are leaving the country (like they've been planning to for weeks) and we have absolutely no leads, so let's do something to make it look like we aren't completely incompetant".
If the friends are guilty and implicated in the crime, why haven't the police pulled them in for gruelling questioning? For the same reason, wehy did they only have the car for a day and then decide the key suspects could have it back? Not exactly preserving the crime scene, is it?
They don't look like radiant smiles to me. And why not pose for one photograph, so that if your daughter or her abductor happens to be watching, it gives the message of hope and lets her know they won't be giving up?

Pose for ONE photograph? Heh. All they do any more is bask in the camera flashes, that they engineered themselves by misdirecting the media and the PJ. Its sick.
Kate called Sky NEWS before she called the police that night, for heaven's sake.
The PJ are just trying to make certain that they WILL SUCCEED when they pull them in - they were slow to suspect the McCanns, and that's where they bungled it all up - the world is watching. They HAVE to get it right, so they're being slow and cautious.
As regards the Tapas9, aka McCanns' friends, they will be pulled in soon, reports say. So keep your eyes peeled to Sky News or some other reputable source. The Beeb is under orders to quell reports, so stick with someone who isnt ruled by government.

The last picture towards the bottom of <a href="http://www.findmadeleine.com/>this</a> page shows them with happy smiles. The pictures taken after Madeleine's disappearance look more like grimaces than anything else. Where on earth does it say that she called Sky first? There was a delay before finding her missing and the police arriving, but they could have been checking the area for her, and the police didn't exactly drop everything and race straight out there.

If i went to my apartment and found my kid missing, which i would never do because i'm not that fucking stupid as to leave her alone,, but saying i did, i'd be screaming 'SHE's GONE' or 'SHE's MISSING' - why the instant leap to abduction? The kid could've wandered off, if as is widely reported, the front door was unlocked. Which leads to the street mind you. She could've fallen in a pool and drowned. She could've gone to the street and been picked up or hit by a car.
I would not instantly assume someone had taken her.
I know about the family portrait on the blatant McCann PR website, findmadeleine.com. But that's Gerry's website - you can't believe a word you read on it!

Do you know what kind of condition I'd be in, on my daughter's birthday, if she were missing, or indeed dead because of something i'd done?
Motherhood makes you weak, crazy even, with the urge to PROTECT. Its a bond that is beyond marriage, beyond spousal love, beyond anything. Madeleine was a part of Kate's body like pumpkin is a part of mine. She came out of me. I would give my life for hers. I dont know how else to put it into words, but its beyond love, beyond responsibility.
Kate doesn't act like a mother, let alone a grieving one. I'm sorry. And if you go to youtube and watch the interviews, Kate is guilty acting, and Gerry is a liar, tugging his ears and misdirecting the interviewer and partially answering questions.
