as i read more and more about what i feel is the ultimate quackery, the so called biomedical approach to 'curing,' or the more PC term, 'recovering'  autism.

I'm beginning to wonder if there aren't two different kinds of 'autism' - the kind that certain parents and numbers of doctors swear is recoverable, and the kind that doesn't need it / should be accepted for being different / helped to understand / nurtured for the valuable people that they are.

Lemme splain.

of a nearly 4 year old, the Madeleine McCann drama is bothering me today. I feel sick to my stomach for that little girl.

I've been doing some research into published accounts of what happened.

It just breaks my heart, and every time i see that little girl's face i want to cry. Mainly because i'm putting myself in their shoes with a missing/dead 4 year old, but no one really knows what their shoes are, do they?

I've been thinking today. Generally watching some eps for enjoyment, some for fic reasons.

I wonder if the PTSD in Five from letting Adric die, and all the death he saw in season 21 might be what made him into the man he became, when he choose to live, and regenerate, into Six?

I see a lot of PTSD in Five, the same way i see it in Nine, but only towards the end. The joking and light manner in both Five and Nine are there to cover up the pain, and hatred of himself and his lifestyle(s), the choices he's had to make, and the consequences of them...

I need TimeFlight. Now.

I so smell fic. Or is that tea burning? Ack!

In Arc of Infinity, he adomonishes Nyssa for picking up a staser, when they go to confront the Lord President about the fusion booster being transferred to earth.

By Resurrection of the Daleks, he was shooting up a dalek mutant, although holding the gun like it was on fire, and holding a Dalek gun at Davros (even though he didnt pull the trigger). He also unleashed the virus and killed all the Daleks in that episode too.

My my, how he changed. I said in a post to someone earlier on a different comm that I didnt think Nyssa would recognise the person he turned into after she left. In his famous words at eh end of Warriors of the Deep, "There should have been another way."

I feel a plotbunny mindmelding with a previous plotbunny that I had and started and never finished....... Who knows, i might find myself doing some fic today...

I think I have sussed out the set up of the last two episodes. Its so crystal clear what happens. The Doctor gets captured by Torchwood, who consider him an enemy thanks to Queen VIctoria and Harriet Jones. They take his Tardis and his sonic screwdriver (hence the lady holding it in that preview shot). They also collect alien junk / weapons, a la the guy who pwned the internet, uh that American guy last season in Dalek. Henry Van Statten, thank you wikipedia. Thats how they end up with a Dalek gun.

The sphere is the gateway between worlds, sort of like the ancient Tardis in Cold Fusion - the more and harder the Scientifica tried to activate it, the more they bridged the space/time/whatever between the Ferutu and the planet they were on.  Thats how the ghosts end up coming over, they're alternate earth (home of the Lumic cybermen) coming through to our earth.

As for how the Doctor rights the situation, I'm not sure. I suspect if there is one dalek, i'll be amazed, but i rather think the conclusion will be down to the Doctor utilising some alien weapon Torchwood has collected, possibly using Dalek guns to exterminate the Cybermen.

I hope Rose snuffs it, in a grisly nasty way.  I hope Jackie hates him for it. I hope Pete Tyler finally goes too so he can quit popping up, I cant stand the guy or his smarmy sticky story arc, and every time he shows up, Rose turns into a babbling idiot. Good riddance to the both of them.

God i cant wait for the next two episodes. Its gonna be fantastic any way you go.
