well, poo.

Messing around with my network card (it was in b mode, i wanted full g mode, meh), i managed to mess my installation up enough to really screw myself. bcm43xx______.fw files and the wl_apsta.o file had to be cuttered up with the firmware cutter and the bcwml5.sys driver file wasn't the right one and all kind of complicated shit. Argh. So i started reinstalling today to fix stuff.

Somehow, it was placing the folders in /home/leonie on the desktop. I thought they were shortcuts. They were in fact, the actual folders.

I lost *8* years worth of email today in one shift-delete.  HAIRY BOLLOCKS. *wail*

So if i have your email address.. or make that HAD, I haven't any more. Can you email me? leoniedelt at googlemail dot com.

Also, pumpkin is apparently allergic to something at nanny's - the second time she's been there and her whole face has gotten swollen up, her eyes gotten red and watery, her nose got all snuffly, and her voice raspy. Poor little thing. Either she's allergic to nanny (oh how i wish i were!) or she's allergic to bichon frise. Probably the second one.

I hate it when stuff like that happens.

Oh, BUMMER! That sucks! :(

I hope pumpkin feels better soon!

It was a fast flare while we were in there (we didnt stay but 20 minutes), and gone by an hour after we left. Allergies are strange things, oh yes.

*Sympathizes*

Computer woes are teh suck. I was having troubles recently that made me seriously contemplate switching to some kind of Linux OS. If only they made software patches that fixed HUMAN errors!

Poor pumpkin! My family had a bichon frise for 12 years (dumb as a brick, but absolutely adorable), and my mother developed an allergy to him that made her eyes swell up and water. Bichons don't shed, so it's probably the dander that's grieving pumpkin.

I'm on linux, have been for years. It was my own fault, thinking that the desktop settings could migrate backwards to 2007.1, and then forwards to 2008 without problems. Der. Though i admit it was a baffling problem that required creating an entire new user, something was so screwed up somewhere. After i lost all my mail, that is. Meh.

At least i didnt lose my stories, those are precious beyond precious, far more so than some email. If something had to go...

Like i told Ivan, it flared while we were there once she began playing with a blanket, and took about an hour to completely go away once we left. I are suspecting the dug, though i dont know. We've been there and its not happened at all, so it probably is dander buried in that blanket. I have a photo of the last red eye and face that happened, its bizarre really.

My bro is allergic to cats like that, so it wouldn't be a total surprise if someone is allergic to something in this family, heh.
