The new Big Finish audios series Sapphire and Steel is what i've been listening to as I walk, lately, having finished Nebulous and all of Rigor Mortis a long time ago. And Circular Time (i love Summer, i love hearing it over and over).

I'm impressed. It was a bit rocky at first but David Warner and Suzannah Harker soon settled in, and i REALLY enjoy the time related stories, which really proves to me that I mainly like Doctor Who because of the time travel, same reason I like the Back to The Future movies. And because I really like Peter Davison, as well as David Warner.

So, Sapphire and Steel. Very interesting premise, and I'd heartily recommend getting episode one, The Passenger, and then getting a few of the later ones in series 1, and Water Like a Stone from season 2. They're really quite good.

I wasnt really a fan of the original tv series, and I suspect that HELPS, not detracts, from enjoying the audios - no preconceived notions, no 'hang on a minute, that's not Steel at ALL' feelings, etc.

Good stuff, all around. I recommend, yes.

As with all of BF's work, they are price-prohibitive. £15 a disc is a bit on the high side, unfortunately :(

I dont know about a third series being commissioned, i sincerely hope so. And i cant wait to get my hands on the most recent one...
